The SYMPTOMS
- SANGUINOLENT HEMOPTYSIE or EXPEXTORATION (= vomits of blood)
Very disturbing but common symptoms.
- DIARRHEAS DUE TO DIGESTION PROBLEMS (imagine yourself permanently living with what everyone calls the GASTROENTERITIS!!! Also, some of them have a big stomach, which makes them suffer physically and morally…which leads to believe they could be few months pregnant… While the CYSTIC FIBROSIS often triggers fertility problems!!!
- OFTEN SICK WITH AN INFLATED RIB CAGE (because of the mucus)
- INCONTINENCE (often occurs with young women as well as VAGINAL MYCOSES due to antibiotics) and DIGITAL HIPPOCRATISME (wide and convex nails)
Patients affected by cystic fibrosis have an average death age of 24 and the average life expectation is 40. As I mentioned before, for common people, it is the double amount of years and indeed, everyone hopes to stay alive until the age of 100 and with all his head!!!
Whereas, patients affected by cystic fibrosis have to deal with heavier and heavier constraints as time goes by. The ones which are not directly affected put things in perspective and they expect a life similar to any other person!!!
I agree with this attitude as the AVENIR (i.e. the FUTURE) should bring more positive perspectives as it’s been the case over those last 40 years when progress was great. But in order to continue, money is needed. Unfortunately, no one wants to assume researches for such a small amount of affected patients...
Cancer, diabetes and Alzheimer are very frequent diseases and the investment for research is quicker and more profitable!!! A large number of patients will pay for these treatments!! And we live in a business world!!! Not one based on charity!!!
